I have to say honestly the council keep it brilliant and plenty of space for social distancing and still at your leisure take time to god's beauty in the surroundings I would advise you need to go there experience with in the guide lines covid

Great public area. Great for a walk on a nice day. Wide open and has a park for the kids.
The park can be easily accessed from the town centre via the Peace Bridge. A nice retreat following a morning shopping. Lovely for a walk and has a play area and the Foyle Arena to keep the kids occupied. Plenty of green space for a picnic or to let the dog off for a run.
If you want a short walk or long walk St Columb's Park gives you all options. So many different routes you can walk, there is also a cycle path/walk out to the Foyle bridge. You can also relax in the park café surrounded by trees and grass areas. Parking available at the café if you don't want to walk around. There is wide tarmac paths suitable for prams and wheelchairs. A beautiful stream that runs from the top of the park down to the main play park. Various play parks available for kids to play, sport facilities at the main entrance including sports centre with a pool, gym, International climbing wall, sports hall and café. Tennis courts located near St Columb's Park House. We live near by so always walk through Ebrington Square, which is a lovely space to walk around or sit and enjoy the views of the town. There is two paces you can grab food at or even just twas and coffees.
Great for a family walk or if your a runner its nice route along the foyle
