Who doesn’t love an old lighthouse?! This is a neat museum with a couple walking trails and some neat history. Kids have to be over 44” and able to climb the lighthouse independently, but they didn’t charge admission for kids. Very cool part of history!

Loved this place! My son and I visited as a lightning and wind storm was moving in. We were told before paying to head up to the top of the lighthouse first as it may get closed due to the weather, so we did. We got up to the very last landing under the lens as staff was closing up the lighthouse, oh my goodness! So disappointing but understandable. The museum and grounds are well maintained and has a ton of information. This is a great place to visit and I will be back to make it to the top sometime soon. (My son has already returned and made it to the top since he lives in the area.) The staff did offer us a raincheck to come back so at least they allow you to come back to visit if weather closes the lighthouse. Loved this place, thank you to those who keep it going.

Loved it. Grounds & buildings are well cared for. Visitors coming and going but not crowded when we went mix day. Climbed the lighthouse safely following covid rules. Parking is two small lots one across the little street. Main lot is shaded but random spots under the trees. The other lot has 4 spots for long trailers under trees and rest in the sun. A small park is on other street with very cool trees. Boat docks down there too but is a smaller nook not crowded.

This lighthouse is a must-see! After seeing it in the skyline the first few days of our vacation (especially lit up in the dark), we had to check it out. I didn’t know this at the time, but this tops the list of haunted places in St. Augustine. We didn’t encounter anything paranormal, but they do have a ghost tour with em4 detectors if you’re curious. There’s a TON of history to learn, trails that are good for kids to hike, and play areas that are in the shade. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. My youngest child was a few inches too short to climb up the stairs in the lighthouse (you must be 44” tall), but there was plenty of fun for her. Kids under 44” are free. If you buy tickets online, make sure you snag the promo code on the homepage (as of Feb 2021). It’s 200-some steps up the lighthouse, but it’s not bad at all! At each landing, there are things to read or explore. The view from the top of the lighthouse was awesome! The gift shop had lots of books about the area and the toys and trinkets were surprisingly well-priced. Check it out for souvenirs and support their non-profit!

As \touristy\ as it gets! Since we don't do that sort of thing usually (we find it a bit cheeky) we went out to be tourists on purpose... Very cool displays and exhibits. Of course the light house being the main attraction was worth it! Very cool inside and great view from up top! They have warnings everywhere about the 219 steps to the top... I found the warnings to be a bit exaggerated. Easy, fun climb IMO. Definitely worth checking out!
