I love this place. For various reasons. First of all it's ethos is based on community and helping and supporting adults with learning difficulties by training them and giving them job opportunities. Secondly their food is tasty, nice sized portions and very inexpensive. Thirdly, most of their food is home grown. Fourthly, the decor is very pleasant and arty. They sell home made cards, have toys for kids and welcome well behaved dogs. And last, but probably not least, the service is warm, friendly, fast and generally very lovely. What's not to love about this little place? Please go, you won't be disappointed and its good to support local places, places that, I believe, have integrity and values that are sometimes hard to find in the world. Oh, but don't go on Monday as its closed!

This cafe surprised me on all fronts. Fair prices and a homecooked meal--it astonished my two work colleagues and me! The food was fresh and tasty. And the staff were great and helpful. I had a baked potato with chilli. It was tasty, and so well done. My colleague got a bacon panini and he said his was the best he'd ever had! One note: don't judge this cafe by its appearance. That's not to say it's unpleasant. But it doesn't have a traditional cafe look. Will definitely come again. And tell others. Parking is a challenge. Once you do that, prepare to have a satisfying meal! -Sean

Lovely place. Small menu but beautifully presented delicious food. I recommend it highly. Run by the Camphill Village Trust the cafe is worth supporting for its charitable activities alone but the quality of the food is so good that I would still go there even if it was a for-profit business.
