Was an excellent place to meet up with a friend. We had a lovely lunch, a main and a drink for 10. We both tried the smoothies, thought we would have a change from tea and coffee. We had a wonder round the garden centre then inside, all the Christmas decorations are in, wonderful. They have a good system in place for safely wondering around although there are still numpties who don't seem to have a clue.
It's a joy shopping at Squires today. The cafe has hit its stride after a year of discovering the right formula, which is having enough happy staff to cater for its size. When lots of staff phone in sick the quality takes a large dive. Its the high calibre of the staff that make Squires work so well, so give them pay rises and help them stay and watch the place go from strength to strength.
Went for breakfast at squires with my wife, my 2 year old toddler and new born. Got seated and settled the kids. Then was asked by a staff member called becky if we could move to a different table, was given no explanation why so assumed they needed the table for a bigger party. So we had to gather all our bits and move. After a few minutes of being reseated the table was given to 3 women, as I could see none of the women had a disability which would have been understandable, So I can only assume they are known to the staff and why the staff felt they needed more space than a family of 4 is beyond This is my second negative review of the restaurant and there won't be a third because I won't be going back.
