Visited store with a defective part. Asked Tony to supply a new part. Was told they do not make any more. He told me I need this other brand. Cost 1200 plus added plumbing fittings to install. I suggested it may be available on the Internet. He was insulted. Then I suggested that if sourced the item I would buy it off him. He made one phone call to his supplier they had it in stock. I asked him to tell the supplier I will come pick it up. He charged me 560-00. I drove over and picked it up from his supplier , whilst there I mentioned how expensive the part was , the supplier asked what I paid , I told her and she looked at me weird. I came home and in 20 seconds found the exact part for over 200 cheaper. Next time I will be aware of their profit gouging. What was going to cost me 1200 plus, should have cost me 340 plus 17% mark up. Be aware of the upsell

A big thank you to Bjorn at Austin Pool Services Springwood for coming to our rescue on Tuesday and installing a new pool pump. I always appreciate the honest, reliable and friendly service I get from this local business. When you visit the store you’ll often be served by one of the two Tony’s who only ever provide a great customer experience. I’ve tried a few of the local pool shops over the years but once I was recommended to Austin I have never looked back. Well done Austin Pool Services for always providing a 10 out 10 experience.

This business is run by people who think nothing of over-charging (i.e. they charged 550 when the RRP (provided by Maytronics themselves) was 450-480 - Austins staff did nothing but place the order with Maytronics, we picked it up from the actual supplier) - day light robbery! Note: unfortunately Maytronics are prevented from dealing with the public, hence why we are forced to go through “agents”. I had no choice but to go through them due to more reputable Maytronics agents being closed. Think twice about dealing with these people. If you need a part for a robot cleaner, use Brisbane Pool Robotics.
