Springwell Village Hall

I go for my lunch weekly and the food is always good ,The staff are delightful and the portions are a great size often to much for me .price wise it’s very economical it’s nicely set up well decorated and clean it’s a marvellous place to be in the centre of a small village such an asset to the village a big BIG thank you to all the staff as they have worked hard during this hard year to keep it all going so what more can I say marvellous.

This is a village hall run by volunteers. There is a cafe and hall area with a childrens birthday party in full swing in the hall when I visited. I don't remember getting a friendlier welcome anywhere in the North East as that from Cathy and her fellow volunteers. Went with a party of seniors for tea and what a great spread amd excellent value. No problems with disabled access; toilets recently refurbed. This is not a twee tearoom, it is a friendly, clean community cafe with great service and charming staff who are looking for customers to support their hard work.
