Large City Hall for all sorts of functions that has recently been substantially renovated from its previous rather tired appearance. Now very modern and contemporary looking inside and out. Doesn't have a huge amount of character, it's still a big barn of a place, but it's certainly much more elegant than previously and is suitable for all sorts of functions with a large raised stage area. With atmosphere lighting and some decorations it can be adapted for a myriad of uses and the main hall easily seats 400-600 for dinner and still leaves a decent size dance floor. There is another decent sized room off the main one which is often used for graduation gowning, predinner drinks, or buffet meal setups etc. In February 2019 substantial building works are going on in the precinct and access is difficult and parking severely restricted.

Great place to get your children vaccinated at when the council does their immunisation here. The library, Cafe, playground and water play areas are right outside for distracting the little ones before and/or after.
