Someone once said that “there’s no place like home”, but that’s a complete myth when you indulge at Bac 8. The three dishes rice meal is a steal. It’s practically illegal to pay 11 and walk away with enough food to put you in a food coma. A complete robbery. For my dish, I picked the braised fish, slow cooked pork belly and sour soup. The flavour of the braised fish is perhaps the best I’ve ever had. The caramelisation of the sauce, coupled with the succulent fish is something to beg for. You then chase that food down with the soup and that’s when it hits you - you’re actually in Vietnam. The look and feel of the restaurant pulsates the Vietnam food market vibe. Paired with this vibe is the sacred text, known as the Bac 8 menu. A menu so vast that puts the Pacific Ocean to shame. Truly one of the great wonders of the world how a restaurant so small, can churn out delectable foods at whim. All in all, a wonderful experience that would satisfy any hungry hippo.

If you looking for good food, culture, quaint atmosphere and hospitable service you found it! No cap this is the best food in Springvale. If you ain’t eating at Bac 8 at least twice a week you ain’t eating right. Can’t put it to you any more simple.... It’s just good food, good service and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Reeaalllyyyy yum fried octopus. Strongly recomended to people who love Asian Foods!!! Just pay 11 and you will get 3 dish (you can choose) free rice. OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!! Please you have to try it!!! This place is paradise!! Finally I found my paradise in Melbourne

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Love to order the broken rice for lunch on the weekends. They also do Uber Eats which is great.

We've been going to Bac 8 for couple years now and it has remained to be our favourite after trying out other restaurants in Springvale. The authenticity of the taste truly soothes my homesickness. Their Pho is unbeatable compared to many places that I've tried. Their 3 dishes with rice is truly valuable for the money you spend. We always have great experience here and the food never fails us. Kudos to the team and hope the business grows and expands.
