Beautiful park with scenic boardwalks and off-road trails along Gum Bayou and the Tickfaw River. We stayed in one of their 2 bedroom cabins, and had a great time! It had full kitchen, a fireplace, and leather furniture in the living room, a bunk room with 2 sets of bunk beds in one bedroom, and a full size bed in the other room. We enjoyed the screened porch and small BBQ out back, as well. We'll definitely be back! Also, try to make it before the office closes at 5pm or call and let them know you will be late. We had no idea, but they called us and confirmed we were coming, and even had someone waiting at the gate when we arrived!

Second time camping at this park and enjoyed both visits equally. Enough to do for a couple day trip. Decent hiking trails and canoeing. Will definitely be back.

A very nice park. I especially like the wooden deck alongside the paved parking space. A dry level space vs stepping down into mud if it's wet. Very thoughtful. I would like sewer connections but you can't always get what you want. They even have a laundry which is very rare for anything other than private parks. We'll be back.

Walking through swamp wilderness is very good at relieving stress brought on by social distancing. Elevated walkways, playgrounds for kids, vending machines and, during certain seasons, cabins for rent make this park outstanding.

This is a nice park for hiking. Worth a look if you are in the Baton Rouge area. We saw a giant alligator sunning in the river, which was probably the highlight.
