Have not fished this venue for 6 years but I must say it is excellent. I camped last time I went for 7 days and found the owner and the staff very sociable and helpful. I was netting around 60lb to my best day of 174lb of fish. I do not know if they still do a breakfast here but if they do then you must try it. A very good meal
Contacted the fishery and booked on for the thursday open. Draw was 10am got there at 9 expecting to have to have a breakfast/sandwich Only to be told no cafe and most probably no open not enough anglers ( could have phone me and let me no ? ) Apart from the disappointing start to the day i opted for a pleasure session which was excellent over 100 pound. So not to bad in the end.
Amazing Fishing, but be warned because the fish fight tougher than Tyson Fury. The fishery is well maintained with the upkeep of the grounds, The lakes are well stocked with Carp, Bream, Tench, and silver's, But like I said, be warned because the carp fight like crazy and it's constantly. My best was a 10lb 3oz Common
My partner comes down to springlea from Wrexham he thoroughly enjoys himself says it's a well stocked an well looked after fishery
