It is what it is!! Not intentionally a retro cafe, but one that just hasn’t made it out of the 1970s yet: wooden cabinets, rickety tables with fablon imitation wood plastic covers, applied with wrinkled ages. The cheap and cheerfulness is almost an attraction in itself. Not high dining, but nevertheless a good basic cafe, with good wholesome food and smiley service. And well supported by locals. It still feels as though it could do with an upgrade though.

Every time I visit wigton enjoy going to the spotted cow the owners and staff are friendly and welcoming, the is equally as good too.
