Fabulous caterers. Needed a hog roast for our party and so glad we found the Spitting Pig. Lovely chef and waiter and the food was stunning. I'm a hog roast convert now!
We had a small 60th birthday celebration due to lockdown, very happy with the event. The food tasted delicious and well presented. James was very personable, helpful and assisted of overcoming the poor weather conditions on the day. I am happy to recommend and use you again in the future.
Hi My husband and I would like to say thank you for the superb way you catered for our son & daughter in laws wedding. Despite the weather being a little unpredictable that day the staff went above and beyond to make the day extra special. Everybody enjoyed the food too, we had lots of positive comments. Jean Paul, A brief note for the excellent service provided by Richard and his team mate on Sunday. All went well, very positive comments by all who attended at the quality of the food and service. We had a hog roast booked for our wedding reception last night. Impecible service, professional and friendly but most importantly the food was stunning. Miles was our chef who was lovely and again very professional. Highly recommended. Thank you!
We were delighted with the service we received from our initial enquiry right up until the moment everything was packed up and taken away. It was our son’s wedding on one of the windiest days of the year. We heard that outdoor festivals had been cancelled and roads were being closed but we received a text from Jean Paul to say he was on his way and they arrived and set up with no fuss at all. There was plenty of food to go around, the vegetarian option, stuffing and the sides were excellent and those that managed to get some crackling haven’t stopped talking about it!! After they had packed up we were left with foil wraps of all the last bits of meat left on the bone, enough for all those still around the following morning to have overfilled pork baps and tomato sauce, which turned out to be the best ever hangover cure. I would definitely use Spitting Pig Essex again and wouldn’t hesitate in giving ten out of ten for service, taste and value for money.
