Underwent a shoulder operation in the care of Dr Packham. The whole experience was smooth and efficient. At all times I was made comfortable and put at ease by the friendly, professional staff.

I went to the spire yesterday for a minor surgery under local anaesthetic. This was my first ever surgery. From the moment I arrived I was blown away by the level of care I received. I was promptly shown to my room by reception. The room was very clean and modern. Equipped with it's own bathroom. Within the first hour of being in my room I had been seen by the catering assistant who had ordered my lunch, the nurse who had taken all my vital information and filled out and double checked all paperwork, the anesthetist who explained step by step what would happen and that she would be there to monitor me throughout my surgery, the surgeon assistant who explained all the details of my surgery and then another nurse introduced herself as she was overseeing the other nurse who was in training. This completely reassured me. I was well informed on everything that was going to happen and felt completely reassured. Surgery went well and I felt very comfortable during and after. I was monitored regularly for 4 hours ny another lovely nurse and then discharged. I was given the medication I needed with written and verbal instructions on how to use them. They also provided dressings to take home. Like I said at the start of this review. I was blown away by the level of care I received. At no point was I worried about Covid or anything else for that matter. I don't feel there is anything anyone could of done to make the experience better. The level of care that was shown by every member of staff was amazing. Thank you so much. Rachael
I had surgery here yesterday via the NHS. It felt very safe from a Covid 19 point of view. In fact the whole experience from all concerned end-to-end was flawless Thank you so much everyone for what, given it was having surgery, was a very enjoyable day!
Absolutely Shocking . I saw my surgeon there last month. 4 WEEKS AGO he made referral for me to have an MRI . Four weeks later i am still waiting for an appointment. First imaging \lost\ the paperwork and 5 days ago i was assured someone wold ring me to arrange it - still waiting. I would never recommend having any sort of imaging there. Wish i had gone elsewhere. Following on, i have since discovered that the Spire are not able to do an MRI before the New Year as they are contracted to the NHS until then.! I now have to go to Cheltenham to get a scan. If they are not able to provide scans etc then they need to tell the patient at the time of consultation !!!
Very helpful and caring staff with patient wellbeing top priority, can't thank them enough
