Was very nice, massive chip portion and the fish was huge (both regular size). Batter was good not too greasy. Sorry not quite a 5star, more 4.5 but would recommend to anyone.

Fish good, chips not great. They were busy so it took a while.
After a long trip down to Godshill we didn’t want to cook and found this fish & chip shop in google search. The first thing to note is they don’t take cards it’s cash only so I had to go and find a cash point up the road. After placing my order I sat and waited and noticed there were a lot of customers in or outside the shop and I picked up from their conversations that they were regular visitors which gave me some confidence. There was a long wait for the food and the owner looked quite stressed. He frequently reassured me the wait wouldn’t be much longer. When the food was ready he gave me a couple of cans of pop for free due to the long wait and told me that he was unusually running behind tonight, a sentiment reiterated by the locals. When I got back to the car and unpacked the food he’d given us an extra sausage and curry sauce too. I’d ordered the jumbo cod, chips, and curry sauce and it really was worth the wait. The chips were lovely but the fish was some of the best cooked cod I’ve ever eaten. Enough for me to write a rare review on google! We eat a considerable amount of fish and chips and have been disappointed over the past few years with the offerings of Cornwall. Maybe it’s because the fish & chips back home in the Midlands have upped their game considerably, but Spinnakers have restored my faith in quality fish & chips in the South West. Well done guys, we’ll pop in for another helping before going home on Friday.
Always cooked fresh to order so be prepared to wait, but worth it. They do take telephone orders, but I'm not that organised.
Cooked fresh to order. The best around.
