One if our nearest pubs. Renovated last year; looks Good, keeping some of old features like the galleon window-effect mirrored wall. Front bar is sports orientated; has large restaurant area adjoining back bar and a huge covered veranda with garden beyond. Great for families in summer. Food has been good with some different items, to the usual 'pub grub type choices.

My wife and I took a short break to Dorset. We booked a room for 1 night and we had dinner. Room very cosy, small but comfortable for 1 night. The food at the pub was superb good beers and excellent service

Took advantage of the eat in to help out.Welcomed by staff made to feel welcome. Limited menu but some reasonable choices. Kids menu adequate. Service was quick. Starters were small which is preferable to me. Kids garlic flat bread starter looked delicious. Steak and ale pie came with choice of mash or chips and peas and a nice pot of gravy. The pies are individually made. The sweet menu was adequate. The whole menu was simple food made well, there was steak on the menu also reasonably priced. Altogether with 3 adults and 1 child for starters main and sweet with drinks including glass wine was just under 50. Bargain!!

Lovely place which can be enjoyed by friends and family. Really enjoyed spending time outside with friends relaxing whilst their children happily played safely on the play equipment. Could sit out in the sun or under the shade. We had the southern chicken platter which was delicious! The southern onion rings on there were amazing!! Lovely staff.

A fantastic newly refurbished pub under very friendly new management. We had the best time there on NYE with 'That 80's Night'!
