Absolutely 5 Star Indian Cuisine! Staff are very polite and friendly, sometimes a little quiet but generally very helpful. The food is A*! Not too much oil (like a lot of Indian Restaurants nowadays), and good sized portions. Specials Menu has some unique dishes, and also there is plenty of Fish Courses to choose from too. I can recommend the Chicken Korai and the Chicken Murgh La Papda (which is a unique take on a Korma). They also honour 2-4-1 Meerkat Offers!
We have used Spice Den lots of times and have always enjoyed. tonight we had the mixed platter onion bhaji was reheated chicken was reheated and like rubber the prawn purée wasn’t cooked and tasteless the freshest thing was the salad the portions have also halfed almost. very very disappointed we will never use again
I used to be loyal to this place and not have Indian at any other place as the food is good and the service used to be. Until the last time I went. I was told by the waiter that I was demanding because I wanted two side curries without milk (I'm allergic). Is it demanding to want a curry with no milk if you have an allergy?? I now go to the New Raj Mahal on London Road South where the food and service is Impeccable.
Lovely restaurant and take away in the old High Street in Lowestoft. Banquet on Wednesdays for 11. The onion bhajis are delicious and Meerkat Movies has a deal from Sunday to Thursday here for buy one get one free on main courses so definitely worthwhile trying it out.
