The Speyside Cooperage Visitor Centre is a very interesting place to visit especially if you have booked a tour. Our tour lasted about 30 minutes and it was very informative as we were told all about the history of the Cooperage and its current operations. We were taken into the interior on an enclosed walkway so we're able to see the men working on the barrels they were repairing below. There are also pictuures on the wall detailing how the processes work. The company have an apprenticeship scheme and we saw some of them at work. Overall a fantastic tour which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Lovely find! We didn't have a tour as we hadn't booked however the gift shop was lovely, lots of gifts for all ages. The prices are also very reasonable. We looked around the shop twice and delighted in different things each time. The cafè was clean and cosy, the tables and chairs were made from the whisky barrels. The staff were genuinely friendly, Sharon the lovely lady who served us checked to see if we needed anything else and when we explained we only had a couple of days left before we returned home she helpfully suggested other places we might enjoy visiting while we were on holiday. There are entrances to the toilets in the courtyard, which has a seating area and barrel tables. There is ample parking for cars and coaches, a quaint little train made from whisky barrels used as a planter for flowers, and a pond with a bridge going over it too a large grassed area with seating in barrelled booth's, lovely to sit with a good cup of tea and a sneaky cake

The tour starts with a beautiful 10min movie in a little theatre and then a guide takes you to the factory \balcony area\ where you can see the whole factory and the coopers worki g. Overall found it quite interesting. Made me appreciate the skill required to do this type of work. Its nice to see that not everything can be automated and that these barrels are repaired and not simply replaced. Nice giftshop and cafe. Well worth the visit.
