My advice, stop reading the reviews and just go with Spencer! Great service throughout. Lizzie and Amelia were excellent, someone always seemed to be available and if they weren’t, you would ALWAYS get a call back on the same day. They were so good they almost made the moving process enjoyable (and would have succeeded if it weren’t for some shoddy antics further up the line!) Highly recommended

Spencer was the estate agent for our house purchase. The initial conversations with the team were good and clear. When it came to the nitty-gritty of the purchase process Lizzie Baker was simply amazing - especially through a stressful journey. She was helpful, gave salient advice, and was professional throughout. Her friendly approach and actually treating us as people made all the difference during a stressful purchase. The whole team were responsive and good at communicating.

I wanted to use Spencers for my house sale as they had handled the process when I moved in 25 years ago! They didn't let me down..the whole team were a pleasure to work with - always professional and understanding. Chris Spooner was very helpful at the beginning clarifying lots of questions so many thanks for that. This is the second time in seven years we have used Spencer's to sell a house. The first time was an early Victorian property with great character but needing significant updating. We had 42 viewings over two months before an offer and then another five months before the buyers were able to complete (problems with their solicitor). Spencer's support throughout was excellent. The second time we sold a terraced property through them to first time buyers after the first viewing. As we were looking for a new property at the same time we saw lots of other agencies and we can say that Spencers were clearly the best of them. They are efficient, can be relied on and their communication skills are excellent. Unlike many other agents they actually listen to their clients and act on their wishes. We don't plan to move for a long time now, if ever, but if we did we would engage Spencers again to sell for us without hesitation.

My attempt to sell the family house of 55 years was delayed for several months by Corvid virus restrictions. However as soon as it seemed possible I contacted 3 Estate Agents for valuations and although there's was not the highest I thought Spencers' was reliable and they seemed to have the most experience in my district. I was delighted with their very smooth and efficient service and with the expert and friendly advice provided. The viewings went well. Three potential purchasers were identified and without having an auction they were asked what their highest bid might be. Again I did not choose the highest bid but a very suitable family. The sale was soon completed with the minimum of fuss and to the great satisfaction of both seller and buyer.
