Went there for my sons 21st and can honestly say it was the best lunch I have ever had. Covid safe and extremely friendly staff. Chestnut mushrooms in cream and garlic sauce on sourdough bread for starter and braised belly pork with apple and cider sauce with veg and the very best crispy fries, delicious.

Lovely little cafe/restaurant, and a brilliantly modern yet cosy surprise for this quaint village setting! I was fortunate enough to go when they had a special 2-course lunch for 11, and the food was excellent. The quality of ingredients couldn't be faulted and both my starter and main were cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Only negative was that on our table of 3, one of the seats was facing directly at the wall, though I suspect this was necessitated by COVID-19 saving restrictions. Overall an excellent lunch that left us all stuffed and very happy!
We had breakfast and it was perfect. In a brief error of judgement I ordered something healthy - porridge, but needn’t have worried- came replete with loads of maple syrup and cream and vanilla flavour. They were full for dinner which must be a good sign.
Had to wait a little while for the food, but oh boy was it worth it. Kippers with poached eggs and the large breakfasty brunch meal, plus a really nice mocktail and excellent coffees.
Some of the best food I have had in England! Very cheap for how amazingly tasty the food is. The staff are super friendly. Perfect for a date or just a meal out with friends
