Today I had an eye test at this store for the first time and can confirm I will never return. Recently I parked in a local car park and was given two free eye test vouchers for Specsavers Hitchin so I proceeded to book for both myself and my wife who normally use the Stevenage branch but with the offer of free tests we drove through. Only after the eye tests were completed were we told the vouchers were not valid and that I would have to pay 50.At no point were we told this was now the case but we we’re shown a tiny post beside the counter area that we were conveniently ushered passed upon entry into the waiting area. When I raised my concerns with the manager I was asked to raise my concerns with a gentleman who told me he was the local director who was in the shop at the time. I found this individual to be one of the most arrogant cocksure individuals I have ever met who clearly looked down at me and accused me of shouting ( I very much dispute this as I was wearing my face covering and was no louder than normal ) he used this tactic to try and make me out to be in the wrong which I find devious. He offered me a reduced rate if 20 each as a good Will gesture which But when you’ve got a voucher for a free eye test there is no good will there. He blames the council for not removing the voucher and also blames me for not being up to date with Specsavers T&C’s.

Very unhelpful staff. Tried to call ahead to let them know I had issues trying to park, the phone was ignored. Arrived to see staff members milling around chatting, ignoring someone else trying to call, unfortunately 10 minutes late. Was told they were unable to squeeze me in with no attempts made to help at all. Will not go back.
