Specsavers Opticians and Audiologists - Crawley

Marked down 1 star as it seemed like most of Crawley were in here, so I had the impression it was slightly over booked for a lock down time. However, I did notice all machines were being cleaned religiously after every use. The optometrist I saw was beyond capable and so nice I forgot we were in a market of bodies in the rest of the shop, this made the experience more than acceptable for the risk. However, I did not stay to order my glasses choosing to return when hopefully less busy. Just a note, the extra 10 for the deeper scan of your eyes is definitely worth it and as a bonus the optometrist explains all going on with the pictures taken. All the equipment is the most up to date I have seen.

Disgraceful service. Made we wait over an hour in store only to tell me they had no lenses in stock! No apology, no explanation, nothing. Just rude staff. Wont be going back again. They were also not obeying social distance advice and were letting far too many people in at once. I will be complaining further about this.

Very efficient staff, despite being very busy. Had eye test , chose frames (which are placed in a container for cleaning as you try different ones). Had appointment to go back and pick them up after 2 weeks. No problems experienced at all. Happy with the experience.

Good covid control. Can get a bit busy at times. Well worth booking a slot.

Did you know that Specsavers (Crawley) are the only opticians who can actually diagnose a detached retina properly? Yes, they are! Crawley has an OCT scanner, the other opticians don't. Someone dear to me is not going to go blind as a result of this. Well done Specsavers Crawley!
