Very good food at reasonable prices. Really nice outdoor patio. The setting is great, in a nice residential neighborhood lined with cactus. Known for their crepes and their tall, powerful Caipirinhas. If you drink 3, you will be completely tanked. Believe me.

If you like pancake/crêpe/blini, "Armpit of the Snake" will be a highlight of budget dining in Praia. They have savory and sweet rectangular pancakes starting at 300 CVE. Also vegetarian ones! Strela beer is 100 CVE (rock bottom for Cabo Verde) and very cold but not frozen-over. They also serve other foods like burgers and fishy stuff. Caipirinhas are 280 CVE and AMAZING. Like.. bottomless! For your own comfort, make sure you won't need to use the toilet. It doesn't seem reliable.
Good inexpensive place to eat - everything freshly prepared in front of you. Ok, it's a bit slow, but just sit down, relax and enjoy a drink while waiting for food. Communication in english was very limited
