I was unable to be seen by my GP and was having extreme pain. I was sent to A&E at Southport DGD 15/02/2021.via taxi. On arrival I was greeted by a pleasant receptionist, and directed to waiting room. I was barely there 10 minutes before triage and quickly transferred to a cubicle where I was reassured, observations carried out.In less than half an hour all necessary screening was being carried out by very professional and pleasant Doctors Nurses and Healthcare Assidtant. I have to say that the assusnent was very thorough and sympathetically performed. I have to say that I have never attended A&E where I have been treated so well and with such care. I would like to say a big thankyou to each and every one of you, from Reception to discharge.. You were all so kind and understanding of my distress. I have a friend in hospital and she stayed the night and wasn't offered a gown nor anything to drink, she felt frozen. She asked for a blanket and something to drink and was fobbed off with excuses. I had been myself on many of occasions and they were unhelpful on the wards, all you see the majority of time, them talking to one another and walking around, these people get paid good money for less work.

My sister brought to A&E on Thursday 13th Feb. Can't praise staff enough. Absolutely fantastic. I've never been to this hospital before but there were no delays. Ambulance came quickly to home and she was taken into cubicle in A&E immediately. Every member of staff was brilliant. A very big thank you. You are all a credit to your profession.

I was admitted following a stroke and I have to say the care I received was very professional and the staff were brilliant and supportive in my recovery
