The variety of routes and paths themselves are great. Lots of enjoyable walks to be had. The water and surrounding areas are filthy though. Sad to see so much rubbish thrown around by careless individuals.

We have been around this area a few times now to walk the dogs but the first time at this location. There is a nice walk down to the canal and a pub to visit at the end. There are lots of boats moored up along the canal and plenty of room to sit outside the pub
Beautiful area of outstanding natural beauty, fishing lake and an impressive weir are all here, a wide variety of wildlife can also be spotted, well worth a visit and highly recommended.
Walkers delight until the river breaches due to heavy rain.
This is a great place, just outside the centre. The main thing I love about this area, apart from the location and great natural vista is the fact that you can make the walk as short or long as you wish. There are so many variants using all the interconnected loops it's great on foot or bike. My only concern is too many people get to hear about it and it gets over used... Maybe a \Washlands Trust\ could be started so more people can enjoy it, and it can be naturally maintained for all to enjoy. I would suggest all to go and enjoy the nature on your doorstep... responsibly.
