OMG. Self service tills! What a shambles, 2 out of 3 transactions required intervention and only one actual staff member attending. There was another person operating a till which was only for cash or returns, was told they can't take any one with card even though no one at their till and a queue of at least 30 people! Also, the self service tills are touch screen and there was no evidence of any sanitizing the screens or the card machines. This needs sorting out!

Just had a quick shop in Matalan's in Southend on the ground that used to be the old dog stadium. Quite a large shop selling men's, women's and children's clothing and shoes and also having a homewares department. Kitchen utensils seem particularly cheap and they also have an electrical lighting section. To the rear of the shop is a large changing/fitting room and there are plenty of staff that were really helpful. You get 2 hours free parking but please note, shopping trollies need the 1 refundable token if you require a trolley for your shopping. Prices are extremely cheap, maybe not all items have the quality of say M&S and Next but you'll certainly save yourself a few quid. Please see my pictures, hope this review helps.

A beautiful day for shopping, clothes for adults and children, many new born baby garments. Household, bathroom and kitchen utensils. A good range of men's clothing including cruise clothes and accessories. A large range of womens clothes, underwear, shoes, a range for larger ladies, staff are very attentive and friendly
Good selection on clothing for women, men and children. Nice selection of house hold products. Good pricing. Always clean tidy and organised. Helpful staff when looking for sizes. Clean fittings rooms. Free parking outside shop.
