We called in today in search of a nice meal and found it at this very welcoming pub. The outside was well lit and decorated and is obviously well cared for. We had the choice of almost any of the tables in the restaurant area with only a couple of the other tables occupied. This is a great pity because if we all continue to avoid such lovely places they may not be available in the future. After signing in on a form near the entrance we went to the bar. We received a friendly and warm welcome and after ordering drinks at the bar they were delivered to our table. The menu is rather limited but there was enough of a choice for us. I chose the forest burger with chips and salad and my wife had fish and chips. Both were served quickly and were perfectly cooked. My burger was obviously home made and delicious and the salad had a good variety of fresh ingredients. The fish was a little thin and seemed to have been once frozen rather than being fresh and was a little disappointing but the batter was tasty and everything else about the meal was perfect. Although we did not have any of our grand dogs with us the place was very dog friendly and this lead to several interesting conversations all at a safe social distance. If you are passing pop in this is a pub we cannot afford to lose.

A beautiful little pub on the edge of the new forest with the most friendly and welcoming owners. I would highly recommend this pub

Stopped here on Monday this pub has the nicest staff and the best tasting food on the south coast. You can tell the food is eally hand made\ no 'bing chef(microwave)' like most of the other pubs in the area. Really worth stopping here we will be back soon. Prices are really reasonable as well.

Went here for a Shortstack and Sides gig, has been renovated by new owners. Was impressed by pricing of food and drinks and atmosphere was nice. Members of staff were lovely and very attentive x

Great food and everyone really friendly. Amazing that our young waiter came running out after us as I had left my handbag on the floor by our table!! Will definitely be going back
