I have a child at both the Prep School and the Senior. I am delighted with how my children are progressing with their education, they are happy, settled and thriving. At a recent parents evening, I was interested to objectively evaluate the progress the children were making. This was due to a number of negative comments from a small minority of parents. It was my role as a parent to check myself and make sure they were in the right place for them. For me the sense and spirit of my daughter was fully understood by each and every single teacher who had contact with her. Where she struggled was known and plans put in place, what made her tick, how her friendship groups worked, what made her laugh and most importantly how to motivate her to be the very best she could be. My Son in prep, will be moving onto secondary in September, and I have no doubt that he will thrive in the same way. I fail to see how any child could thrive in the prep. To be honest, I felt a little foolish for doubting my intuition. My children were happy, learning well and safe.... something I deep down already knew but was happy to validate. For those parents who don't feel this, I'd encourage you to consider your duty as a parent to ensure your child is educated somewhere they feel the same.

I am a parent of two children who have been pupils at St Mary's from reception year and therefore have over 12 years experience of this school, its staff and the education delivered to both of them. We visited many schools before choosing St Mary's and from the moment we were shown around I was sure this was the right school for them. Our long experience with the school completely vindicates that decision. Both my children love this school and they have been nurtured, cared for, educated and thrived in a supportive, caring environment by some wonderful and dedicated teachers. This a school where every child is valued, every child is known to all the staff and where they are truly treated as individuals. This a school that cares deeply about its pupils and their whole development and where the staff's passion for the school and the children is evident in every interaction. I have no hesitation in recommending this school to other parents and would urge anyone looking for a school for their child to visit and see for themselves what we have experienced.

We spent some considerable time researching what school to send our two young children when we moved to Southampton a year or two ago. St Mary's is a fantastic school with brilliant teaches who really go that extra mile to give the best possible education to every child. Both our children are very happy at the school and have a wide circle of friends and take part in various after school clubs every day of the week. The quality of the education is second to none and I cannot express to you enough just how pleased both my wife and I are with the school. Choosing what school to send your children too is just about the most important decision any parent can make. What is clear to us is that we got it absolutely right.

Our family made the decision 12 years ago to send all three of our boys to St Marys and we have not regretted it for one minute since. I love the small class numbers and feel that every teacher KNOWS my child. I have found the staff and teachers to be very supportive and always ready to listen. It’s not just my children, the school either attracts or produces happy and well-mannered individuals, either way my children’s friends are always a pleasure to meet. Although its most important to me that my children are happy, I do expect academic success to go hand in hand, so the outstanding results from St Marys, year after year, mean I know we made a great choice. When my boys are all grown up and I look back at everything we have tried to give, I know that their St Marys education will be the greatest gift.

I have two children currently studying at St. Mary's and I couldn't be happier with the decision we made to send them there. They have both grown noticeably in confidence, their results are great and they are highly motivated to learn. I am very glad to see that the school has maintained the kind and nurturing ethos and ambience it has when I attended (long ago). It's great to see the similar experiences that so many others have voiced. I did see one negative, and lengthy comment. The place they describe seems to be the polar opposite of the one which my children love and thrive within. I know some of the teachers at St. Mary's and have even worked with one of them. They all love the school and intend to stay there for as long as they can - this speaks volumes. A school is much more than words and figures on a spreadsheet, it is a place in which children should have the time to develop at their own pace, where they feel confident and supported in their journey as they grow - this is the kind of place that St. Mary's is.
