This council is closed more often than opened. When you do get thru to them they only seem to be interested in telling you to make council tax payments, even if the contact reason is NOT COUNCIL TAX related. Totally Useless \telephone contact centre

Do not trust social services we have been on the support accommodation list for up to a year I made the social worker aware what my problems were at home they are rated inadequate and unable to meet up to clients needs do not trust the police they asked for a family relatives address so I complied then child protection services from Sunderland or South Tyneside Council came to their house put these rules in place nothing legally with the court and no evidence to prove that he was a risk or even guilty of any crime this is wrong we cannot trust social services that even put another family relative on the child protection register when he was 17 and there was no evidence to prove there was any risk social services have also threatened to take my the children off my funny relatives care if I was going to go anywhere near the house face to face contact this is dropped out of proportion waste of taxpayers money and Company resources.
