I have been using south hill for about a year now and have never been disappointed, compared with the rest, these are the best and consistently produce excellent quality, great tasting fish & chips week after week. Keep up the good work. See you every Saturday. Yum yum.

Looking at the previous feedback I must have been very unlucky! Despite it being local to me this is the first time I have the food from this takeaway. I arrived about 6 o clock and two customers were awaiting orders. I was served quickly and was advised my cod would take 4-5 minutes.. The fish was cooked fresh and I also purchased a portion of chips and a savaloy. My short 5 minute journey home I opened the food to find that the savoloy and fish had been wrapped together which was odd ?...a vergatariin would not have been impressed!. The fish was just a mass of oil. I placed the nice size cod onto a plate and within seconds the plate was full of cooking oil. The fish was just mush with no firm composition and the flavour was non existant. The savoloy was so overcooked the skin had shrunk and had changed colour. The chips were fresh and tasty in what was otherwise a waste of money. The fish was so bad I would normally not return but I may try again given the previous feedback being decent...maybe I was just unlucky. I normally go to the chippie in amersham and the fish there is always very good. Heres hoping for my next visit but I am struggling to see how the previous fish reviews are so good considering what I was provided with ???.. Form one moment after reading the reviews I thought I attended a different shop and I had to check the photo of the shop frontage !.
Been going to this for about 15 years, always good food and friendly service. Family run business; the fish and chips is good but the Chinese is very good
