My family and I traveled to California this summer. While there I needed to have an oil change on my Forester before heading home. I made an appointment with South Coast Subaru. We arrived on time and were told that it was going to be about an hour. There really isn't much of a waiting area. When I made the appointment I was assured that they would wash it for me (5000 miles cross country leaves a lot of bugs in the front grill). No wash at all . . . it's the least that they could do on an 100 oil change and tire rotation.

Sales department is horrible here. Service department is the best. I love how they maintain my car and do the area wash and vacuum. Other dealers don't dry off the car leaving hard water spots, but these people make sure it's shiny. They also wax the tires. I've never had a dealership vacuum the interior other than here. Due to the bad sales experience, I bought my car elsewhere. I was told that with my poor credit, no Subaru dealership would give me a loan. They kicked me out and the general manager told me to stop wasting their time. Sounds good! I'll keep buying my cars elsewhere!

Without a doubt, the best "car-buying" experience I could imagine. Let me preface this by saying I worked in car sales for years so I know the business. Truly a great experience starting with the internet director, the sales manager, the finance manager, and the sales associate. There were absolutely no pressure tactics and we were in and out in 1 hour. I was a little stressed because I didn't make it until 8:50pm (they close at 9) and I remember the feeling when a customer would show up right at closing, but everyone was real accommodating, understanding, and kind....yes kind at a car dealership. Very happy with the experience.

As soon as I walked into their building everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Francisco got me a great deal on my new 2014 Subaru STI and made the car buying process a breeze. Will definitely share the great experience I had with my friends and family

Bought a 2016 subaru forester, very smooth buy process and competitive prices. Worked entirely with their online department, very professional, courteous and prompt responses. The car itself is great. I'll definitely go here again to buy my next Subaru.

Have never experienced such poor customer satisfaction. I called at 3:55 pm to speak with a Service Adjuster and was transferred back and forth for almost an hour. Finally, I asked the receptionist to speak with a manager where I was then transferred to a voicemail box, this happened twice. I will always, from here on out, be taking my Subaru to Rally Sports off Newport Blvd. Just ask for Paul, they actually pick up the phone!

We purchased a slightly used Subaru Tribeca in 2009 and had excellent service until recently when the car blew a gasket and required a 4500 repair which took approximately 2 1/2 months. Yes, 2 1/2 months. I stopped called for updates after a month and a half when I kept getting told that the car "was almost ready". To their credit, I was given a loaner after the the first week that they had my car. Finally the car was returned and I drove it to my home. Within days the car wouldn't start. The service manager came out to our home, and tried to start the car, which to my surprise, started up. Then he checked the battery as a courtesy and noting it was low, attempted to recharge the battery. When it wouldn't take a full charge, he recommended we replace the battery. Of course, the "problem" had nothing to do with the fact that they'd removed the engine during the 2 1/2 months the car was with Subaru. So, we replace the battery. All is great the day after we replace the battery. And low and behold, the following day, the car doesn't start. I called out AAA, who'd sold and installed the new battery, and the battery tested at 100%. I had the car towed to Subaru, paid an over mileage charge of 80 which so far Subaru denies any responsibility for, claiming whatever is wrong with the car has not yet been proven to be related to their 4500 service. And, the service manager now has tried to convince me that the current problem is totally unrelated to what was wrong with the car when he came out and told me I "just needed a new battery". And I haven't even included the two other misrepresentations by the service representative at Subaru. My advice is to stay away from this dealership. Once I get my car back, assuming they figure out what is wrong with it, I'm heading over to Irvine Subaru for any future maintenance. I'm done with South Coast.

I was shopping for a Cross Trek and connected with the internet sales leader, Arthur Lee. He answered all my questions and was able to provide excellent pricing. His proactively communicated with me throughout the process and worked hard to earn my business. In the end, it was very easy to deal with South Coast Subaru and the experience was pain free.
