Top notch flavoured chicken in rustic surroundings or as a take away. Small business with a difference. Service was attentive, with lots of variety for choosing added flavorings on you chicken. . What a great independent family run businesses right on the edge of Kings Heath High Street. Large portions, numerous combinations & great offers. No other place like it. Can not wait to go back & get some more wings!! Update: Can not get enough of this place. Big fan of independents around Birmingham. This just gets better. No other place like it. Soul Chicken is small independently run Caribbean grill-house. They specialise in high quality, well cooked, healthy food, all served with a range of delicious homemade sauces. Service is super friendly and they always make sure that my food is cooked exactly as I like it. Soul Chicken has quickly become my go-to choice for a great quality takeaway treat.
What a gem of a place, truly heart and soul put into the food. I accidentally came in for some fries for my son, I was welcomed with friendly staff and was impressed with the quality of the chips- being hand made, delicious. My sons have food allergies and have never been able to have the chicken at restaurants because of the dairy/wheat coatings. However the owner said he can make a separate whole chicken allergen free, if a give him a day or 2 notice. I did this and ordered the family platter. The owner/chef used separate utensils to cook the chicken. It tasted so tender, fresh and full of flavour -top quality. My family loved the meal, what a treat, and reassuring to know I’m feeding my family healthy grilled food. Will definitely be a regular customer. Kings Heath is lucky to have such a lovely top quality restaurant.
