Wonderful school!! We are very happy we ended up here. Only our first year but we have zero complaints.

Administration oversteps heavily and takes way too much action for minor disputes or issues, If you act hurt enough, their actions escalate and you can get someone in potentially serious trouble.
School administration isn't that good, that isn't to say the teachers are bad, because there are good ones, such as Ms. Watson. The administration can make a whole big thing quite easily without it being necessary. The teachers can also be pretty difficult to work with if you are falling behind because of added stress from COVID or from being sick.
The new dean of students is really obnoxious. The entire school is mostly ran by those of Turkish descent, so if you want to apply here, good luck getting in if you’re not Turkish. The school is an alternative to any other high school which is why many dropouts, druggies and people that have gotten expelled join Sonoran. Would absolutely not recommend!!
The overall staff is not awful, but that does not excuse the actions of some teachers. Some of them are very unforgiving of miscommunication, lack of understanding, and family affairs. If you are falling behind, a lot of them will barely raise a finger, even if bring your problem to them. The best you can get for a lot of them is a nasty reply. Disregard this review for Ms. Watson, as she is a great, understanding teacher that has helped me learn the subject without punishing, but helping me understand things at my own pace, and there are a few others that follow her lead.
