This homestyle restaurant was pretty good. The ribs were really good. The cashier gave us some attitude upfront but loosened up as we were ordering. The food wasn't good enough to make the drive again.

It was the wife's birthday and after a fabulous breakfast, review coming up, we took a nap like a good python family and focused on dinner. The plan was to slide on to Dallas but our stomachs wouldn't allow the drive. So who says BBQ...the clan all hollered me..me..me and our one year Cashew grunted hhhmmm. We saw our holy deity Man Vs Food had been there so we gathered the energy to go eat again. We arrived and Sonny's located strip mall with other establishments. The place was dead, so it allowed in case Cashew decided to scream like a mad man. The man at the register was friendly and welcoming to us. If you're interested in curb side, they have a steady line of customers. The establishment has a kids menu so the 2 boys had brisket and the other ribs. They come with a side and drink. The birthday girl ordered 2 meat plate and I had the full rack of ribs and half pound of moist brisket. The booths were big enough for a family of five. The brisket had a very good smoke taste yet a bit dry. I guess Covid had another victim due to a lack of customers. The ribs on the other hand were almost fall of the bone. They had a slight coat of BBQ that kept each bite scrumptious. It price was a bit steep at 59 bucks yet for The Mother of Cashew it was worth it and I would recommend this place.

The smells are wonderful as you approach the restaurant and enter--to the extent that you can smell through the disease-proof protection \u003cha, ha\u003e that is required. However, the chopped beef was unsatisfactorily dry and needed the sauce that was generously provided with the meal. I prefer a toasty sesame-seeded bun, as the glutenous fancy bun provided does not stand up to the drenching that my meat sustained. I'll be back, but I will partake of another meat. Here's a real subtlety: the green bean casserole would be MUCH better if the green beans were less mature so that I don't need to spit out the beans that eject from the pod with every bite.

This is doubtless one of the coolest place in the region. Anytime I go there I am very satisfied. They maintain their very high level service and the topmost level of meals they provide. You are always happy with this restaurant. Very recommended.
