Unfortunately we had a pretty poor experience. We booked and specifically stated we were vegan. On the day, we also rang ahead to let them know we are vegan and assured they had lots of options including starters and desserts. However, when we arrived they only had 2 mains but no starter and dessert. They said the vegetable soup was vegan earlier but the chef had put buttered sweet potato in it. Very disappointing and no offer of discount. It was our wedding anniversary so we thought by letting them know in advance we were vegan, we thought they may have made the effort. We both had a vegan nut roast which was at best average. Having said that, the pub was lovely and safe with social distancing.

Great starters. Fantastic mains especially carvery. Wonderful puddings. Eight all ate with drinks. Great service. No leftovers. Very cheap.
Beautiful food.. very good value for money in a relaxed modern restaurant.. A dedicated team of staff served our table in a safe but relaxed manner so we could enjoy our family meal
The meal and service were spot on. Not convinced about the pod/bubble experience 20 on the bill seemed expensive. Seemed a little isolated but the service and the use of a heater you could not fault. Would sit inside the main building next time. You would need to try it and judge for yourself as we like to people watch.!!
We ate at Sondes Arms tonight at 6.30pm. There were 3 of us & we had attentative service from start to end. We all ate different meals and all were delicious, (the steak pie is a must). The food is plentiful & arrived promptly. We can happily recommend booking here & we will definitely be returning. We'll done all.
