We though this place was nice but found the food underwhelming and just ok rather than good . This was surprising as they proudly told us where they get their meat from and we thought we might have found a gem ! The staff are friendly and the environment is good and they have a nice play area for children it’s just the food that lets it down a bit , I feel based on this visit that there are better choices to go to in the area. Thanks for the reply maybe is was just an off day we will give you another try soon
There was no snow but it was a pretty hot day so that's understandable. I didn't see the goose, but had a bloody lovely (and big) prawn cocktail & a burger. Loads of seats outside - I guess that's so the goose has somewhere to wander around. Nice pub.
This spot never fails to deliver. They serve excellent dishes for affordable rates, there is no waiting time even when the spot is busy.
I was visiting the area and had some time to spare between appointments so popped in for a cuppa and light bite. Fantastic food and service in a lovely place to relax for a while. Will visit again when next in the area.
