Curious little cafe, its quirks make it stand out from the hipster or overly polished cafes in the area. Good place for coffee and baked snacks. I went back when the first lockdown had just been lifted and the staff member was a little peculiar also, perhaps down to the lockdown getting the better of us all...

Just had quite possibly the best cappuccino with almond milk ever!
My friend got a chocolate cake delivered from Smuggler's Cafe for my birthday, and not only was the service great (they came and delivered it personally and wished me a happy birthday!), but the cake was INSANE. Absolutely humungous and dare I say it MOIST as hell. Because we're in lockdown my partner and I had to eat it by ourselves, and it stayed fresh for nearly a week - I mean it likely would have stayed fresh longer but we managed to eat it all within 6 days. Now it's finished I feel bereft. I'll never forget you, chocolate cake!
Wonderful coffee, wonderful atmosphere, but most of all the most delicious gluten free banana bread I’ve ever had. It’s so perfect, especially if you can get it straight out of the oven. Also really friendly, even with our two massive dogs. My new favourite.
