Reggae Kitchen

Reggae Kitchen, well overall, I'm quite impressed. It's been a while since I have had a proper Jamaican dish. I had ordered stew chicken, rice, coseslaw and dumplings which I had ordered drinks which were very refreshing, although they weren't drinks they had made. I'm not to sure if they do drinks anyway that they make. Anyway back on topic, the chicken was juicy as can be, there was extra gravy and poored everywhere. The rice had a really feel good taste to it. There was added vegetables on to the dish which made it more complimentary and very healthy, very good indeed. Moving onto my two main concerns, for the coseslaw, I would suggest make it yourself, buy one from somwhere else or don't make it yourself. If you are really desperate to buy their coseslaw then I suggest, when you come back home add sugar to it. For me it was in between what you would by from a store and a proper Caribbean/African coseslaw. You know what they probably got it from the shop and added sweetcorn. Or if they did make it, no offense, but get a specialised chef who knows how to do proper Caribbean/African coseslaw. The second thing that had disturbed me was the dumpling, I have not had a proper dumpling for a while, but to my taste it was very doughy and dry. Overall, compliments to the chef. If they do dessert, I'll sure be willing to try it next time.
