Went to seminar in the not so distant past, spoke to a knowledgeable rep and picked up a card. SMC seems to be a very diverse firm with training and ongoing research and manufacturing of medical products! Got to love bio science!

SMC Somerset is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. Terrible management and treatment. SMC doesn't care about their workers and will find a way fire anyone they want, anytime. You are an emotionless robot to them. They will even falsely accuse you of things you never did. If their customers had an idea what practices these people do to dime off every little dollar I'm sure they wouldn't have any left. There used to be vending machines for food here. They took them away and now overcharge for the same things the machines had and also add tax. Anything to squeeze money out of anyone. So pathetic. Also, you don't even get paid lunch. SMC doesnt pay you every 1st and 15th of the month. They pay you every two weeks - for example in April workers got paid on the 3rd and 17th. That should be illegal since many due dates are on the 1st. Lastly, a lot of co-workers are drug addicts/drunks who do not care or try and they will steal your things. Beware.

Team Spirits

Trainings are decent, was told to read the instructions every time before I could start a position only to find out most of the station doesn't have instruction. Management there are strict and will come to cite you if you're not making rates. Pay is okay for full time worker. You get decent lunch and break times. Co-workers could be friends or foes depending on who you end up working with. Parkings could be tough to find at times. The benefits are great but expensive. Overall it's a decent place to work if you're looking to get some entry level experience.
