If you’re looking for a fancy & cosy place then look elsewhere. The decor is dated unfortunately. However, for a group of friends who are looking for great food then this is the place. Our little group eat out a lot & we’re very fussy, this place has never disappointed. (We’ve been regulars for a few years now). Great food & pleasant staff, highly recommended.

A true classic - quite dated inside but I personally think that adds to the appeal of this joint. The buffet is simply divine and to die for !!

I take my family to this place quite a bit! This is the best place to dine. I visit this place many times. The meals are great, the staff members are professional and the prices are reasonable. I like going in this restaurant over a good dinner.
Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant, even if it's just to order the salt and pepper chicken wings. All of the food is great, and the staff are friendly and professional, the atmosphere is relaxed... but the salt and pepper chicken wings are the best chicken wings you're going to find in Chester. I ate those wings and I was like 'I have to leave a review imploring people to order the wings'. I can't articulate how good they are and you need to visit the Slowboat asap just to eat these wings. If you go on a banquet day you get a great all you can eat deal for 22.50, which includes duck and pancakes and is all genuinely really good quality food despite the good value.
