Went today and ended up paying 50 for my partner and I to have an induction. We went in and was introduced by a young lady. The place seemed nice and well kept. We were shown to the gym and then the lady left. There was no introduction, now showing around, no laugh or smile, just pay and use it feel. You only get the discount on your joining fee if you join that day, which only makes you feel pressured into joining ... The staff members on the floor of the gym didn't say hi, or approach us despite there only being 4 of us in the whole gym. They then left. We used a running machine ( which had a broken handle ) and the cycling machine which was OK at most. The systems on the machines are slow, meaning when you want to slow down or stop, you have to carry on running until the machine realises that you lowered the intensity. Multiple times we picked up on people swapping machines but not cleaning them down which is appalling given were in a pandemic. Essentially its a top floor flat converted into an average gym. The mirrors are too low so when your running or cycling you can't see your own face which is a bit strange, and there is no mirror by the free weights so you can't lift heavy or see how well your balancing your weight. When we left, the staff member from the gym floor was on his phone at reception, and the girl was sitting there with her mask off. We advised we wanted to go and see another gym before considering joining and was told yeah thats fine .. no thank you, no asking if we enjoyed it or anything. In addition, the membership includes \all facilities\ but we weren't shown them. So didn't know how to get in or use them. The showers are closed and the placed seemed average. All in all, not the best experience for such a luxury spa / gym. We have been paying for previous gyms in others areas for years, and even at some basic gyms the service has been far superior.
Poorly run gym, signed up to be told i'd get a refund if the gyms closed, when they did close they lied and instead offered me credit notes and vouchers for the gym instead of actually refunding me which was not what was agreed at all, and i made this absolutely clear 3 times before singing a contract. The gym equipment is painfully dated, minimal equipment and a fair few things are broken in which they clearly have no intention of repairing or replacing. I'd steer clear, it's probably the most expensive gym in Sittingbourne with pretty much zero reason to be. As i said, before signing any kind of agreement with these i'd recommend getting it signed/in writing beforehand as they'll lie and fob you off with something else completely worthless to you otherwise. All about the money, rather than good service.
I enjoyed my time there, it's nice to go to a place that has a mix of ages and body types, LBT and body pump classes were great, very enthusiastic motivating female leader. Pool was often over crouded. Unfortunately was let down over lock down by the company finance rules so chose to leave.
Really lovely the pool is beautiful . Lovely staff . Recommend the spa day you get a cream tea with it
