When our beloved William passed in a care home with the Covid-19 Virus we understood that our arrangements for his service would be most limited. We had planned to select and appraise a selection of Funeral Homes and we started with Sim & Son. We didn't look any further. From the first call we realised that we were entrusting a \Family\ with our family's loved one. Despite the current restrictions, Shona & Steve delivered a service package that allowed us to bid farewell to William in a dignified and most memorable way. They evidently have a \can do\ attitude to their service level and their communication throughout was exemplary. They made their wonderful premises available to all the family (in small groups) such that we could pay our respects and feel included. We were pleasantly surprised at the overall cost and we would have no hesitation in taking or recommending their service in the future.

I would not hesitate in recomending. Everything was just the way I asked for and my mother would have wanted. A family business, run with a high standard. A wide choice of all the arrangements you need .. and some you don't think about at the time. The staff, premises and vehicles are \tip top\. I don't want to visit there any time soon, However that is where I would go if needed. Thank you for looking after me, my family and most importantly, my mother (Isabel Rutherford). Donald.

I went to sim & son to organise my dads funeral plans as he was in a carehome, they could not have been any nicer and helped pick an appropriate plan for my dad but also suggested set a little aside for the wake after it as well and everything is taking care of in advance. I had to contact them last month when my dad passed away in hospital and they literally take over once contacted. The only thing I had to do was pick 3 songs and and date and time I would like the cremation to take place, they quickly transferred the wake money to me that made that side of things also stress free as once someone has passed accessing funds and paying things is not easy so the advise to incorporate some funds for the wake was appreciated. They made what could have been a very stressful time, easier to deal with, I dealt with Shona mostly and she was great and also the Humanist Paul who was also very good when coming to the house to discuss my dad and then speaking about him at the service. I'd happily recommend sim&son to anyone making funeral plans.
