Best Indian food in Scotland at a reasonable price. We live in Edinburgh and occasionally go up north. Whenever we do, we always make a detour to get some food from Sid’s Spice. I would recommend it to everyone!!

Sid puts so much heart,soul and hard work in his restaurant. You have to come by and taste his dishes. His sauce cooks for 24 hours to achieve this great taste and it’s for sure one of the best Indian restaurants I have been all my life. If you come by at the rush hours it’s possible that you have to wait because everything is prepared fresh, but it’s totally worth the wait.
Charming staff and fabulous food. Don't be upset if you have a short wait for your order..it is worth it. Now always take a few curries home with us at the end of our stay. Can thoroughly recommend if you are anywhere near brora.
Respect for the people here at Sids Spice. Was working on the water main one day and after hours of hitting trouble and the night closing in with the restaurant desperate for water, when it got to closing time, the guys brought us out some hot food which was really really nice. Eventually found the problem and all was put right.
I am from Texas, USA. I stayed in Scotland for six months. I had never tried Indian cuisine before and Sid’s Spice was recommended to me by a friend who knew a good restaurant when they went to one. I am so glad I tried Sid’s Spice. I ate here a total of three times—each visit being better than the one before. I couldn’t express how much I enjoyed Sid’s food. It was absolutely amazing! Indian cuisine is now my favorite. On the third and last visit I had a Vegan dish with mushrooms pictured below. Now it may seem odd, but when I took the first bite, I literally had tears in my eyes. It was one of the best things I had ever eaten—cultured layers of spices exploded in my mouth. It was so delicious. Aside from the food, the owner, Sid, was absolutely one of the kindest restauranteurs I’ve met. The setting was really modern yet I felt like I was somewhere in India. This restaurants definitely a must try.
