What a great place. It looks full, busy, but this you need to try. Great food and drinks for great price and very nice service
A MUST ON ANY TRIP TO ASTURIAS. Everything about Tierra Astur is just unnecessarily huge. The restaurant is huge: it feels a bit like eating in a factory canteen. The menu is huge: cheeses, rices, tortos, fabada, cachopo, you name it. The portions are huge: if you have lunch here, you don't need dinner. While the food is really good, trying it once is probably enough for a lifetime (unless you're Asturian, of course).
Tierra Astur is in Gijon, Oviedo and Aviles. I have been to all three and the service has been excellent with huge portions and good quality, the waiters are helpful as well. If you are just having drinks, the tapas they serve for free is so nice and plentiful, you might not eat at home!! The prices are good especially considering the portions and the type of meals served.
The restaurant was a recommendation from the hotel staff. You can get dinner at 08:00 pm. It's best to get a Sidra in the bar area before having dinner. They have a great variety of dishes. It's best to share as the portions are enormous. The food is really delicious and fresh. We really loved the chicken with cheese and the sea food.
