Away on a short break for a few days and looking for a nice bite to eat and to watch football. I sent them a message via Facebook to ask and they got back to me almost straight away more than willing to accommodate us that evening. The food was excellent, the service was great if we are ever down for a holiday again we will be back and will definitely recommend to anyone who’s going to visit Sidmouth. Even dog friendly too!!

Fantastic cosy pub in Sidmouth, my partner and I love it here, even bring the family! I recommend booking if eating as very popular. Fantastic drinks and ale selection. Amazing food! My last dinner here tasted just the way I remember my mum made it, excellent. They also have a lovely beer garden which is a good size and various toys which are brought out in a box for the children to play with in summer (never seen this done anywhere else) the kids love it! This is the pork and the steak (cooked medium) we had extra chips and veg in seperate bowls highly recommend

Warm and friendly pub with fantastic staff. Great menu and very reasonable prices. Large and pleasant beer garden with tented area. Only 9 minutes walk from centre of Sidmouth and well worth it!

The Service was good and friendly staff, however the Sunday roast was not! OK if you are used to \old style\ vegetables like swede, cabbage and parsnip 2 ways ! Personally I expect broccoli, cauliflower cheese, carrot and maybe some cabbage. I was informed that they had over 12 veg to choose from when ordering but when the very small plate of veg arrived it was mostly cabbage, I've never had parsnip cooked the same but presented cut differently to make it look like different veg on the plate.

Have visited three times since the badly needed refurbishment and very pleasant. Always busy but still quick service by friendly and efficient staff. Big beer garden which will be well used in the summer. Worth a visit.
