At the beginning it was while(definitely before Covid ) I thought it was a good school because it had quite a good opinion, but then I found on my own skin that I don't want to go there anymore despite the fact that it was cheaper than in other schools in the area. I met there with a very unpleasant attitude of the instructor towards me pushing me to cried during the lesson and I am not a child, I when I was the last time there and I said to myself that my leg would not stand there anymore. In addition, for me to much people in the lesson are not very favorable conditions for learning, especially canter when you try twice an hour because there are so many people in the queue. The owner was so nice that she was responded to me and she showed that she cares deeply about her stables. I have to be honest and admit that the lessons were with the teacher not with the owner and it's completely natural and I was unlucky to find one person of which I couldn't communicate and I hope that a lot has changed since then. I truly know that is really difficult to control people who works for you and that they can do something that is wrong and you cannot do anything with that. I’m really sorry for that. I have hope you can go and try. I personally. I found another stables with which I am very happy but it shouldn’t prevent anyone from checking this place for themselves, especially since you can see that the owner deeply care and this is very important. Wish her the best.

I have been riding at Timbertops for some time now and they are a fantastic stables. The horses are well looked after, both during their time as riding school horses and once they retire. I have a tendency to be a nervous rider, but the instructors are great, they are patient and understanding whilst pushing me to be the best of my ability. As the stables is small and family run, it means that the staff really get to know their customers well. The yard takes safety seriously, so the group lessons are never too busy and when you have a private lesson you get the whole arena to yourself. The horses have a variety of temperaments, meaning that you learn something different on each of them. The stables also hold different events for both adults and children, such as stable management days and clear round jumping. They also run the BHS Challenge Awards which are an enjoyable way for adults to learn about horse care. During COVID I had no concerns about returning once the stables reopened as they had clear procedures to keep clients and staff safe.

Fantastic yard, all the staff are professional and qualified, all the horses are well looked after, as horse welfare is put above everything else, thriving pony club centre, where kids can make friends whilst learning about horses, would recommend this riding school to anyone, fiver stars are not enough!
