Shinto Sushi at Freedom Commons

The place was underwhelming. The server was not helpful. The sushi was subpar to average. I don’t know what the hype is all about. I have a feeling because of its location it’s overrated. It’s in a strip mall plaza. The ambience is nothing. Hibachi is not done in front of you so we didn’t order it. The sushi was too clunky and big. Overall I would say go somewhere else

This was our first time ordering from Shinto. It was for my son's birthday party. We ordered a lot of different things and all were equally bad. Nothing tasted fresh. One of the end pieces of a maki roll was rock hard. It must have been sitting there for quite a while. The tuna had no taste. The crab had the texture of coming out of a can. Not sure if it did or not. They mixed everything together in a to go container so it was very hard to tell what we ended up getting. I was very disappointed after spending so much . Mariano's has better quality in my opinion.

Excellent place,really big inside,great food,drinks,the valet guys nice all the bartenders terrific I just love this hidden gem in Naperville.

Sushi was excellent, super fresh delicious and pieces were big. Service was great. Definitely will be coming here again.
