Went here for a real meal after the previous Thai restaurant turned out to be a total disappointment. Here the food was excellent, Sake was great, and very polite and friendly service. The waiters didn't really speak any English, but thanks to Google translate we could get a great recommendation for food and sake.

We just finished kayaking for 3 hours. We missed our stop on the train trying to find another place. It was cold and we were in a tight spot because our friend was vegan and there aren't many vegan restaurants in Japan. We found this place, Zen through a quick search. We got to the door and knew it was amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We took out time ordering and they didn't rush us at al. The sitting is a unique in the back section. The table is in the center and raised on a platform. You have to leave your shoes at the base of the platform. The table has a grilling plate heating food. The menu clearly identified what was vegan, vegetarian, and contained allergens. The portions were huge and the atmosphere was cheerful. Something to note is that smoking is allowed in side. Many restaurants in Japan allow smoking inside. Please make sure to check on a website or call ahead if you can't tolerate it.
Arrived pretty late and they were still happy to serve me. The Okonomiyaki was delicious and the process of watching the chef work his magic was fascinating as well.. Must try for vegetarians as their menu is clearly defined and color coded for various dietary preferences. Did not see this anywhere else. Very helpful :)
Great food.. I got there pretty close to closing time, and still they served me and cooked me amazing food..lot of vegetarian options..
Had heard about their vegetarian options for okonomiyaki so had to try! It was pretty good, but not great. I was hoping for a bit more satay on the cabbage and a little more egg to the dish. The staff were super friendly though and it was tasty enough.
