Insperational! The best food and drink in the area! Fresh chemical free produce from Hiroshima. Very good price for the quality and experience!! I will think of this Izakaya when i am back in Sydney

We had such a wonderful dinner here.. the chef is very welcoming and food is delicious. Its Hiroshima fresh produce and he is very proud of the quality and it shows in the cooking. The menu is in Japanese but the chef will help guide you and there are photos on the wall to assist. We enjoyed the Japanese beef dishes, fish carpaccio, butter mushrooms and garlic rice. Make sure you have some sake too! It was a great night out

This place is amazing in every way - food, atmosphere, the owner, music, and even the customers. I would recommend it percent and more. Let's start with the food: everything is sourced from Hiroshima and is super super fresh. You can see the owner make the food right in front of you, and the food is absolutely delicious and made soooooo perfectly. The marinated oysters were really surprising and unlike anything I've had before. I'm generally a little cautious about eating oysters but these were so flavorful with no gamey taste. The karaage was scrumptious super juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Very simple and yummy. The beef was to die for. Get the wagyu beef (thigh). It takes a little longer to prepare but the quality is amazing. I would eat the beef everyday it's that good. There are small veggies that come with it too. We also had the corn rice in clay pot. it's made with fresh corn and is very hearty. Perfect finish to your meal. Aside from the food, the owner is really what makes the place stand out. He's super nice and fun to speak with but most importantly he loves the food he prepares and has so much confidence in the food and ingredients. I got to learn a lot about the dishes and he's even foreigner friendly too :) Overall, this place simply blew expectations out of the park and I will definitely continue to visit. And I haven't even started on their alcohol selection!

So I live super close to this bar restaurant, and it has been a nice local spot of mine with an amazingly kind owner who has a passion for his craft. The food is fresh, simple and represents the welcoming Hiroshima soul of the owner. It's not a place you should come into with lofty expectations or some michellin style meal trying to get all creative and what not. The karaage (fried chicken) is super flavorful without being over seasoned. The rice dishes made in a clay pot are worth the 15-20 minute wait. There is a wide selection of nihonshu (in English, \sake\), and the owner can recommend a matching choice depending if you like a more sweet or dry drink. If you like lemon and want a refreshing drink get a lemon highball or lemon sour. I'm not a huge oyster fan, but you can get them fried like tempura or raw depending on supply. As little side dishes, the pickled vegetables (tsukemono) and the kimchi are great. In conclusion, I hope you don't make my local spot too busy/crowded, but I have no choice but to give a great review of this cozy little place with the best owner.

We had a fantastic dinner where we felt as guests to the chef rather than visitors. He was friendly and tried his best with the English language. The food was good and the sake was excellent - many variations from Hiroshima. The food carefully selected by the chef who clearly had a passion for food. Small and cosy place for about seven people.
