We had a garden party that turned into a busy house party due to the AWFUL weather last weekend for my 40th birthday. Shine On were remarkably unfazed by the lack of space and played two fantastic sets getting everyone up on the (cramped) dance floor. This is the second time we have seen them and wouldn’t hesitate to book them again. Their repertoire is brilliant, communication is excellent, and they are just a really great bunch. Thanks so much for a fantastic night. We cannot praise you highly enough!

A friend told me – ‘good music maketh a wedding’. Shine On absolutely made our wedding incredible; everyone was on the dance floor whenever they were playing and people commented to me on the night that they had never seen such a great band, and a dancefloor so full. Every friend or family member that we have seen since the wedding has, without fail, told us how good Shine On were. We’d asked them to play our first dance but with some small amendments from the original track – which they did really well, although possibly more memorable for me was towards the end of the night when they started to play Wonderwall, got everyone in a circle with us in the middle – it was amazing to be able to see everyone arm in arm singing along. We had seen other great bands at weddings who put on a good act, but what we loved about Shine On was that they really got involved, interacted with our guests and read the crowd really well. The set list they chose was perfect and flowed really well (would definitely recommend asking them to do their UK Garage remix…it was SO GOOD). Communication with them was great throughout, they arrived in plenty of time and were really friendly. There are a couple of things that I would do differently if we were to have our wedding again, but booking Shine On would be one of the first things I would do as I can’t imagine what our wedding would have been without them. Would recommend them in a heartbeat
Absolutely cracking! We booked shine on for our wedding and they went down a storm. Everybody at the wedding was commenting on our great choice of band and how much fun they were. They had an excellent repertoire which had the whole wedding party on the dance floor for the entire evening! At no point was the dance floor empty. Shine On are also really easy to talk to and listened to our song requests, and were happy for one of our guests to sing a song with them. We cannot recommend them enough, and it looks like we will be seeing Shine On again soon as our family members are already looking to book them for future events. Thanks very much guys for making our wedding so kickass!
INCREDIBLE BAND! Everyone was on the dancefloor all night and have been raving about them ever since! Trying to find a band to play at our wedding was so difficult as we had such high expectations - we didn't want a typical 'wedding band’ but wanted quality of a professional band. When I came across Shine On, I knew they were perfect (as did my sister after similar days of internet scouring for me, had them as her first recommendation for me!) Most importantly they are able to confidently play a range of songs from 60’s through to today with such aptitude, it all seems so natural for them (often cover bands can sound like they are trying too hard – these guys consistently sound as good if not better than the original songs!) They are also professional and look ‘the part’ – a small thing, but the band got changed when they arrived and guests commented how good they looked – just shows they think about the little touches that are important for a day like a wedding. On top of that, they provide a friendly and personal service - always replied to emails quickly and learnt a couple of special songs to play just for us. They even kindly delayed the first dance on the day so the groom and I could have another stiff drink to help with nerves! Our first dance was acoustic Everlong which changed to the full rock version to get everyone on the dancefloor (thanks to Shine On for advice with this!) We enjoyed the first dance sooo much more than we imagined and you couldn’t get either of us (or our guests) off the dancefloor the rest of the night. My only concern was the full on riot that would occur when the band stopped playing – my guests were determined to keep them all night – but Shine On managed that professionally, playing a few well timed encores to appease my insatiable guests! THANK YOU Shine On - my wedding would not have been the same without you! Just need to start planning another event so we can book you again… Love Kay and Dan xxx
