Shilam Tandoori

Just had the worst curry ever! In all my life I don’t think I have ever failed to finish a curry. Usually polish off my wife’s leftovers as well but not this time. My Jalfrezi was a dark brown stodge which looked like it had been stewing all day, all the peppers and onions boiled to death. Intensely hot but tasteless apart from a slightly burnt flavour. My wifes pathia only slightly better overcooked again but this time completely bland. This is the second time and I was willing to give it another go assuming that the first was bad luck but not so. I wiil never use the Shilam again total waste of thirty quid.

Just been here It is a nice restaurant. The prices are fair and the variety is very good. They even serve some British food for the ones Who prefer it. The quality and quantity is also good! Just the interior design could be a bit better.

Lovely food with excellent service, situated in the centre of town with good access. Well worth a visit.

Quick friendly service. Very authentic Bengali cuisine. Very clean and well laid out. Recommended.

The staff was brilliant! Very nice, kind and helpful. They gave free water with lemons which was great for the spicyness. The food was also good, both of us had chicken dishes that we liked a lot! The only thing we missed were some more vegetables and a typical Indian desert
